FM 2022 Install Guide & Extra Files.

Mac Install

Just follow the instructions on the below page, the instructions are still the same for FM 22 as they were for FM 20

PC Install

Insert the memory stick into your PC and you will see files on the USB stick. I do recommend copying the files from the USB to your PC before installing as it tends to be much quicker to install this way round.

Faces / Logos / Backgrounds

Please ignore that the Logos file says 2021 it is for 2022

All you need to do is double click on the computer Icon files as shown below and the install process will start. Do NOT change the install directory or the changes will not be applied.

Man UTD logo Fix

The logo fix for Man UTD is below, you will get a virus warning when you try and install it as it is a downloaded executable, but just confirm the file is safe and install it.

Real Name Fix / Adboards

This will only work for new games, but there is a kind of workaround for existing games. It is the only manual aspect of the update that is required. I am working on an automated option but is taking some time to do.

Each time there is an update from SI you might need to re apply this.

Go to the following folder

Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Football Manager 2022\data\database\db\2200

Delete the following folders

DBC, Edt, Inc

Open

Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Football Manager 2022\data\database\db\2201

Delete the following folders

DBC, Edt, Inc

Go to the following folder

Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Football Manager 2022\data\database\db\2210

Delete the following folders

DBC, Edt, Inc

Now go to the USB Stick and go to the Real Name fix folder and copy the folders

dbc, edt, inc

Now paste them into the folders where you delete them from so

Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Football Manager 2022\data\database\db\2200

Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Football Manager 2022\data\database\db\2201

Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Football Manager 2022\data\database\db\2210

On some USB sticks there is a folder missing called Editor Data, if it is missing you can download the file from the below link and extract the files.

https://www.mediafire.com/file/uxvko3rshei74k4/Editor_Data.zip/file

Copy the files within the folder

Now paste them into

Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2022\editor data

You should then see the changes when starting a new game.

In game settings

Load the game up and go to the preferences menu select Advanced and change the drop down in the top right to interface.

In the skin options

Untick “Use Caching to decrease page loading times

Tick Reload skin when confirming changes in preferences
